Which is greater, n or N?
The film shows how a crystal with index N behaves, in an oil with index n, when the objective is displaced away from the preparation.
Note in which direction the Becke line moves as the objective is drawn away from the preparation, and this will be the medium with the higher index (in the next screen another example is given).
