Abstract
The mineralogical composition of clay minerals in thirty-five samples
belonging to surface horizons of soils and inside rocks is studied. The sheet
minerals are: illite, mixed layered illite-vermiculite, vermiculite and kaolinite;
other minerals are quartz, calcite, dolomite and feldspars. These minerals
are preserved in basic environment and they reflected the mineralogical composition
of sediments, parent materials of soils.
