Abstract
Physical and chemical properties of greenhouses from western Almería
soils has been studied (Cumulic Anthrosol). It was studied the influence of
soil origin (autochthonous, “Cañadas” and “Greas”)
and age of greenhouses (0, 1 to 9, 10 to 19 and ³ 20
years) over the variability of soils properties, too. Results show unfavourable
conditions since agricultural and environmental viewpoints, as soon as several
statistically significant differences between soils because of soil origin.
Results show too, a decrease of clay, Mg, Na and PSI and an increase of soil
organic carbon, total nitrogen and available phosphorus in soils with the age
of greenhouses. This was related with agricultural practices and excess of
fertilizer. So show beneficial effects over soil salinity and sodicity, because
soil extract EC, exchangeable Na and ESP decrease with the age of greenhouses.
